If You Can’t Get To The Mediterranean, Then Bring The Mediterranean To You…

…not only the Mediterranean but wherever your ideal destination may be. During these uncertain times, although the need to stimulate the economy has forced much of the country and abroad to open back up, you may be a little uncomfortable when it comes to traveling for reasons such as short wait staff, not enough pilots, flight delays and cancelations, minimum car rentals etc… If Im speaking to you, the ‘ole faithful “staycation” may be all the get away you need right now.

Pre-Pandemic Greece was one of the destinations on our *Trip List*. I’m infatuated with the Greek Islands; Santorini, Mykonos and Crete; the historic whitewashed windmills and homes, the blue domed churches, azure waters and sensational sunsets…the beauty of it all.

Although Greece has opened back up to most countries, I’m still a little apprehensive about visiting at this time, but because I’m comfortable visiting our local beach (just a few hours away), I decided to level up a staycation and plan a small Theme Outing. If I cant get to the Mediterranean, I’ll bring the Mediterranean to us.

The great thing about a staycation, is the possibilities are endless, you can be as creative as you like, just remember to make it fun and memorable. We missed a whole summer last year and have some safe making up to do. Pulling my Theme Outing together was easy on the pocketbook, as I pretty much had most of what I needed right at home. (A look in this closet, a look in that cabinet, a look in the pantry and Voila!)
